Technical Director / Chief Environmental Scientist (Field Ecology, Data Analysis, Chartered Scientist)

A global leader in the development of integrated engineering and environmental services, transformative technology and decarbonisation spanning water, energy, transport, and telecoms, are looking to appoint a highly experienced Technical Director / Chief Environmental Scientist (Field Ecology, Data Analysis, Chartered Scientist) to lead the development of its rapidly expanding Digital Ecology business. This represents an exciting opportunity to further develop the Digital Ecology platform to provide new survey and data capture capabilities, data analysis and AI applications for large scale programmes of work on major grey, green and blue infrastructure projects across the UK and Global portfolio.

 

Responsibilities for the Technical Director / Chief Environmental Scientist (Field Ecology, Data Analysis, Chartered Scientist)

  • Apply expert knowledge of ecology survey, remote sensing and data analysis to enable delivery of major infrastructure planning and construction, water resource management, natural capital and energy projects.
  • Provide technical guidance in the development of bespoke digital ecology products and services to support consultancy, infrastructure delivery and asset management projects and clients in the UK and Internationally.
  • Support and develop the digital ecology growth strategy to identify and deliver year on year new business growth
  • Contribute to and deliver conference presentations and online seminars on key projects and best practice approaches
  • Support Business Directors in the development and maintenance of key client relationships

 

Requirements for the Technical Director / Chief Environmental Scientist (Field Ecology, Data Analysis, Chartered Scientist)

  • Ecology related degree.
  • Chartered Ecologist/Environmentalist and or Chartered Scientist status.
  • Excellent grounding in ecological census techniques and concepts, data management and assessments, studies and reporting in relation to infrastructure planning and delivery.
  • Technical wider understanding and application of ecological surveys, digital and GIS applications, resourcing and logistics.
